Anacostia Park

Anacostia Park is one of the popular tourist attractions of the United States. It is located in one of the most busiest areas of Washington DC. The park serves as a great entertainment spot for the children and it overlooks the beautiful Anacostia river. The park was authorized about one hundred tears back as a children park in Washington. One can enjoy the scenic delights while walking round the park. The transport system near the park provides easy access to all parts of the city.

Beautiful butterflies are found in the Anacostia Park. One can enjoy various types of beautiful flowers throughout the park that truly enhances its beauty. Some stunning and colorful butterflies are also seen in the Anacostia Park like the Checkerspots. These colorful butterflies are mostly seen in the park during the months of summer. Beautiful birds are also a part of the beauty of Anacostia park.

Anacostia Park opens in the morning at 9.30 and shuts down for the day bat 5.30 in the evening. It remains open on all days, which provide unlimited fun and enjoyment for the families and children along with a wide range of exciting facilities.

There is the Kenilworth Park and the Aquatic Gardens situated within the park premises. Tennis and Basketball are the exciting sporting activities in Anacostia Park. There is also a eighteen holes golf course that is offered by the park. Boating is one of the attractions of Anacostia Park. There are paddling boats ans special boats for children, which are offered by the park authorities.

The headquarters of the United States Park Police and also National Capital Parks East is situated within the Anacostia Park.
